Answers to Q&A

Why did you want to become a model?

I’ve always been drawn to the world of fashion. Ever since I was a little girl, I would watch models on TV and dream about what it might feel like to wear those beautiful, striking pieces. There was something magical about the way they moved, the confidence they exuded, and the artistry of the clothing itself.

What captivates me most are designs that are intricate and full of subtle details, those little touches you might not notice right away, but that reveal themselves the more you look. For me, fashion is not just about appearance; it’s about storytelling, craftsmanship, and the emotion behind every stitch.

What makes you special?

I believe what truly sets me apart in an industry that can be especially tough when it comes to size and body shape is my resilience. I’ve learned to trust in myself and my path, even in the face of rejection. I know that when I’m not in the room, my absence is still felt, and that speaks volumes.

There will always be designers and creatives who recognize and celebrate me for the model I am. I’m proud to represent a broader, more inclusive standard of beauty, one that embraces confidence, individuality, and authenticity.

What are you passionate about?

I’m passionate about many things, but creativity is where I truly come alive. I thrive when I’m able to explore new ideas and push my creative boundaries, it’s how I express myself and stay connected to the world around me.

At the same time, I have a deep love for nature. Stepping away from the constant movement of city life and immersing myself in the outdoors brings me a profound sense of peace. Hiking fills me with joy, and there’s something incredibly therapeutic about swimming in natural waters, whether it's a lake or the ocean. These moments of stillness and connection in nature are what truly nourish my soul.

One thing you never want to do again.

One thing I would never subject myself to again is poor management. Through experience, I’ve learned that a model’s success is not just about talent or luck; it’s about the quality of the team behind you. Trust, transparency, and open communication are essential. You need people who not only advocate for you but also work with you to set clear goals and build a thoughtful, long-term strategy.

A supportive team should be aligned with your vision, helping you navigate the industry with intention and integrity. When that alignment is missing; when communication breaks down, or your growth is no longer being prioritized, it’s important to recognize the signs and have the courage to walk away.

At the end of the day, advocating for yourself isn’t just about protecting your peace, it’s about creating space for the right opportunities. The fashion industry is full of potential, but true fulfillment comes when you pursue it on your own terms, with the right people by your side and a plan that reflects your values and ambitions.

What would you like to see changed within the fashion industry?

One of the most important changes I hope to see in this industry is a genuine, lasting commitment to inclusivity, one that truly embraces and reflects the full spectrum of identities, looks, and stories. While there has been some progress, we’re still far from where we need to be. Too often, representation is treated as a trend rather than a meaningful shift.

I started modeling at a very young age, and while I’m grateful for the experiences it’s given me, I also know how difficult it can be to navigate the industry without proper guidance. When you're young, it's easy to feel like you have to accept whatever comes your way, even when something feels off. That’s why I believe models deserve stronger rights, clearer boundaries, and trusted mentors who can help them advocate for themselves and build sustainable careers.

This is a demanding job, filled with incredibly hardworking individuals, and it’s time the industry treated it with the professionalism and respect it deserves. Models are often expected to give so much of themselves, but that doesn’t mean the role should define who we are. Modeling is a career, something we choose to do, not something that defines our worth or identity.

At the end of the day, what we need most is a shift in mindset: one that puts people before image, and that values authenticity, transparency, and care just as much as aesthetics.
