Why did you become a model?
I’m naturally a shy person in my everyday life, but modelling gives me that confidence to become who I want. I love how I can look like someone completely different than who I woke up looking like, and how I can give each look a different personality. Modelling allows all my different sides to come out. It’s not just posing in front of a camera, for me it’s being able to tell a story.
What makes you special?
I’ve been told I have a very versatile face. I can shift between different styles and even ages depending on the look. I can go from more soft and youthful to bold and mature with the right makeup. It allows me to bring the brands vision to life.
What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about books. I am a huge bookworm, I love a good romance novel where I’m grinning behind the pages, about how cute and lovely the characters are. I love how when I’m reading , my mind is able to bring me into their world and how I’m able to play it like a movie in my head. It gives me peace and lets me escape.
I’m also passionate about animal sanctuaries , especially aquariums. Whenever I am in a new city , I make it my mission to go see their aquariums. It brings me this ease. Probably because I love the ocean so much. It’s so interesting. I have a passion to learn new things. There are so many things I still don’t know how to do but want. I try to learn how to do something every year.
When you are not modeling, what do you do on your day OFF?
On my days off, I love taking it easy and enjoying the little things. I always look forward to my morning ice coffee and a good breakfast before meeting up with my mom for yoga. It’s become one of our favourite activities to do together to catch up and break a sweat. After that, I like to clean up around the apartment. I find it very satisfying having everything in order and fresh. Later in the afternoon, I’ll play a few sets of tennis with my boyfriend. It’s the best mix of fun and friendly competition. I usually end the day just relaxing, watching a show, feeling refreshed for the next day.
Describe your dream photoshoot.
My dream photoshoot would be a swimsuit campaign shot somewhere in the beautiful Carribean. We would shoot on a hot day, by the beach with the sun shining. Being next to the ocean in a cute swimsuit makes me feel so free and confident! I would be able to channel that playfulness through every pose and expression.
