Answers to Q&A

What INSPIRED you to become a model?

Surprisingly enough before I became a model I had zero interest in it and didn’t see it as something I would be good at. When I was 14 I was scouted multiple times in a grocery store and also just casually walking down the street. My initial thoughts of being scouted was that I wouldn’t be good enough for it and that I didn’t understand why they chose me. After a long period of consideration into becoming a model I decided I'd give it a try because why not!

One of the main reasons I decided to stick with it was because of the support from my amazing agents who always assure me and are always there for me. Because of the opportunity I took in the modeling industry I’ve been able to grow into the most confident version of myself, learn new skills, and meet some amazing people. My modeling journey has helped me manage a lot of my self doubt into self expression and has also made me more confident when meeting new people.

What are you most excited about when it comes to modeling?

The things that make me most excited when it comes to modelling is a good runway. I love when I get a chance to walk on the runway because it gives me the ability to meet so many new people and hear about their experiences in the industry. A lot of my inspiration comes from runway videos on social media. Seeing the presentation of the show, the clothes and the uniqueness of every model makes me feel very excited!

Can you share with us some advice you have for models wanting to get into the industry?

Always be your authentic self.

Always remember to BOOK OUT if you are busy.

Bring a snacks with you to your shoots or runway shows, trust me!

Show up a few minutes before your call time.

Remembering to relax before your first shoot. It is always a little bit awkward the first time, but everyone surrounding you is there to help you.

share a fun fact about yourself!

A fun fact about myself is that I have been doing competitive curling for 5 years and have been practicing the sport for 13 years. I’ve been to five “Under 18 Women’s Ontario Provincials” and I am also about to compete at the Ontario Winter Games this coming February.
