Why did you become a model?
A good portion of my life has centered around being in STEM one way or another. I am a medical laboratory technologist, so my daily life involves a lot of analyzing, patterning, and problem solving with little to no creative outlet. Which is why I decided to model, to feed that part of my brain. I also think it’d be cool if I could play a role in bringing some more diversity into various forms of marketing to show there’s beauty in all forms.
What makes you special?
I think everyone is special, so by default I guess I’m special too! But I would say I’m special because I am a jack of all trades, master of none. I have taken on so many hobbies because the world is so vast so of course everything piques my interest. There are probably very few things you can list that I haven’t tried out yet.
What are you passionate about?
I am very passionate about fashion, makeup and skin care. I genuinely believe my #1 most complimented thing about myself is my sense of style. I love how putting together a nice outfit and figuring out a new makeup trick can elevate your confidence and by default your aura. I’ve also fallen down the deep rabbit hole that is Korean skincare and probably won’t get out until I achieve glass skin.
What are super interested in that most people have never heard of?
The brain-gut-microbiome axis. Please Google it because I could write a whole thesis on this.
When you are not modeling, what do you do on your day off?
Doing anything but staying at home! I love going out so my days off vary from trying a new under the radar restaurant with my friends, going to the gym and taking a pilates class... picking up a new sport as well. I’m currently in the middle of learning volleyball and pickleball. Reading, taking a pottery class, or even vacationing somewhere out of the country.
