What INSPIRED you to become a model?
My inspiration to model came from realizing that what my peers once considered ‘strange’ about me were appreciated by the modelling world. As a kid, I was extremely tall, had unusual features, and was very shy. No one ever made fun of me outright, but I was made to feel different, people would ask why I was so tall, or comment on how I looked.
As I got older my mom started receiving cards from model scouts in malls and grocery stores which took me by surprise. I couldn't imagine myself as a model back then, but it sparked my curiosity in the modeling/fashion world and I was enamoured.
Over time people began to ask if I was a model and each time I heard it, the more I wanted my answer to be yes. Now as a less shy adult I finally have the confidence to pursue it and hopefully turn the things that once made me feel different into the very things (fingers crossed!) that help me succeed in modeling.
What are you most excited about when it comes to modeling?
What excites me most about modeling is the opportunity to work with other creatives. I am a visual artist myself and photoshoots tap into the same part of my brain that loves playing with proportions, and silhouettes. In my own artwork, I often pose for references so modeling feels like an extension of that creative process. Being able to contribute to art that inspires others the way I’ve been inspired is what I find most exciting!
Can you share with us some advice you have for models wanting to get into the industry?
I’ve only just started my modeling journey, but my biggest advice is to apply and see what happens. You don’t need to be scouted, if you feel you have a model look or presence, trust that. I would say practicing posing, your expressions, and walking in heels is a good place to start and get ready.

As I mentioned I’m an artist, I love painting, drawing and sculpting, but I’m also a huge bookworm! I’ve always loved reading fantasy books, my favourite book being a darker shade of magic, I think everyone should do themselves a service and read it!
