Mother Agency (MA): CIOTTI Models

Answers to Q&A

What INSPIRED you to become a model?

From a very young age, I've always been drawn to the world of fashion. Whether I'm putting together outfits, sketching designs or studying the work of others, fashion and design has always fascinated me. It was my dream to pursue a career where I would be surrounded by fashion every day.

People often told me that I should get into modelling. I always thought it would be an amazing opportunity… But one I didn't think I had access, or two knew how to pursue it. It wasn't until I was scouted that I realized it was actually something I had the opportunity to do. I met with Ciotti Models in the summer of 2023 and my agent Jarrett Plyley felt I was too young and that the response wouldn’t be favourable at that time by clients because they prefer a bit more maturity. After this meeting, I then focused on my studies and volleyball for the next two years until Jarrett saw a post I did and reached out to ask how tall I now was. I answered 5’11 and was back in the agency the next week and signed!

Ever since August of this year I have been trying to take every opportunity I can. I’m super excited to learn and grow my skills as a model. Everyday I continue to make consistent efforts so I can get better and become a version of myself that my younger self, who dreamt of this, would be proud of.

What are you most excited about when it comes to modeling?

What excites me the most about modelling is that it gives me the opportunity to be surrounded by people who love to create art. Whether it be designers, photographers, stylists or beauty artists. I like to be around people who find joy in creating and are passionate about their craft. Seeing people pursue their passions inspires me to chase my own. I've always loved design in all its forms, and  as an artist, I know seeing all your work come together and your vision come to life is one of the most fulfilling feelings.

As a model, getting to play a part in helping creatives bring their visions to life is what inspires me to keep growing and getting better!

Can you share with us some advice you have for models wanting to get into the industry?

An important lesson I've learned in my journey so far is that in modelling, you will face a lot of criticism along the way. It is important not to take it personally but to instead learn from it and use it to grow. Criticism can feel harsh, though most of the time people are just trying to help, and at the end of the day, everyone is working towards a shared goal. If you are able to see feedback as a learning opportunity, you will be able to grow as a model, and achieve the goals that you have set for yourself.

share a fun fact about yourself!

I love to be creative, and I take any chance I get to make time for the things that I love to do, whether it's painting, sketching, sewing, sculpting, or calligraphy. The act of creating and spending my time making something meaningful brings me peace. I love to try new things when it comes to art, and I love learning about the history of different styles and techniques. I'm always excited to learn something new and to develop my skills to create more meaningful work!
