Answers to Q&A
Why did you want to become a model?
I never planned to model. 3 years ago I was selected as a community model for a charity where I have been a pro bono legal advocate since 2019. I walked the runway for the first time and it showed me how powerful representation could be. I realized I could empower women of every age and give brands the model they need to connect with the super consumer demographic I embody.
In these short years, I've opened designer collections in New York, Paris, Milan, Toronto, Seattle, and Vancouver proving beauty and style transcend age.
What makes you special?
I represent a demographic often overlooked in fashion. My strongest accessory is confidence. I also bring authenticity, professionalism, and life experience that resonates with both brands and consumers.
Beauty belongs to every age and stage of a woman's life. I embrace my imperfections and live to the fullest. That explains my nickname… Extremely Erin; attributed to me by friends & family for my extreme altitude trekking and competitive running (10km races).
What are you passionate about?
I'm passionate about empowering women, whether through mentoring or legal advocacy, helping each find strength and self determination to overcome life's obstacles.
My spare time finds me pursuing my trail running and trekking passions, exploring the mountains around the globe. My altitude pursuits include climbing Kala Patther from Mount Everest base camp, trekking from Choquequirao to Machu Picchu, and trekking the Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica.
Why is someone you admire and why?
I admire Malala Yousafzai for her courage to fight for female education and her ability to inspire change on a global scale.
Also, I admire every woman who has overcome adversity in their live to lift themselves and others up.
What would you like to see changed within the fashion industry?
The fashion industry will benefit from an evolution to recognize that the majority of women are not size 0-4. The prevalence of young models feeling pressure to fit size restrictions is unhealthy for some. As diversity expands it will benefit all participants in the fashion industry from designers to models and beyond. That is my hope.
