Answers to Q&A
What INSPIRED you to become a model?
I’ve always wanted to become a model because I’ve had such a strong love for fashion for as long as I can remember. I grew up looking through fashion magazines, watching runway shows, and being fascinated by the way clothing, beauty, and creativity could come together to create something so unique. Fashion has always been a way for me to express myself and show my personality without even having to say anything. Everyone around me always told me I could model and I thought after high school I would give it a shot. I searched for agency’s around me and wanted to start with the very best, so applied online to my now mother agency LizBell Agency. In just a few months Liz placed me internationally with 3 of the top agencies out there. I am now signed with 4 agencies. Lizbell Agency, Ford Paris , Wilhemina London and WhyNot Milan.
What are you most excited about when it comes to modeling?
What excites me most about modeling is getting to be part of a creative world where fashion, art, and self expression all come together. I love the idea of working with different designers, photographers, stylists and creative teams, and seeing how everyone brings a vision to life.
I’m especially excited for my first season starting off in Milan this fashion week! I also absolutely love the chaos! Where I live it’s pretty quiet, and I have a lot of time to myself. It’s so exciting having the opportunity to travel the world and constantly be on the go from place to place! I thrive on the chaos and energy, and always being busy moving my career forward with great teams in place.
Can you share with us some advice you have for models wanting to get into the industry?
My biggest advice to anyone who wants to become a model is to believe in yourself and be patient with the process and trust that your Mother Agent, and the agencies they place you with have your best interests at heart. Modeling can take time, and there will be plenty of auditions or castings that you don’t get. Try not to take rejection personally because in this job there is constant rejection. it doesn’t mean you aren’t good enough. Sometimes you simply aren’t what a client or designer is looking for at that moment.
I’d also say to stay true to yourself. Don’t feel like you have to change who you are to fit into the industry. Be professional, kind, reliable, and confident, and always introduce yourself to everybody in the room and acknowledge everyone always. Walk into everyone room with confidence. Your personality and work ethic are just as important as your appearance.
share a fun fact about yourself!
A fun fact I have that actually ties into modelling, is the fact that when I was a little girl I would always make my dad and mom buy me Vogue and Elle magazine. I would then tear the pictures out carefully and tape them to my bedroom walls. Then my room was filled with Vogue and fashion. I used to even put on fashion shows for my family! This also shows that your dreams can be your reality if you want it badly enough, and are willing to put in the hard work.
From the age of 6 years old I always knew I was destined for more!
